Masjid al-Qur’an, Milwaukee, is a proud new affiliate of Madina Institute, a private, non-profit institution founded by Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya Al-Husayni An-Ninowy, which has locations spanning North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Our focus is making the traditional Islamic Sciences accessible to the next generation of American Muslim scholars on U.S. soil, and calling Muslims to go back to the basics of the religion: the Qur’an and the Authentic Sunnah, as well as tolerance, peace, and compassion. Madina Institute seeks to be a place where your spiritual journey will flourish, and to help you go deeper into your faith, to serve humanity.

Al Qur’an Foundation, Inc began in 1992 as a religious, educational and charitable organization based in Milwaukee, WI. Dr Mohammad Shafi MD was the founder and first President. Masjid Al Qur’an officially opened on September 5, 1997 at a community wide dedication ceremony led by Dr Ahmad Sakr. The initial facility included a Masjid, wudu facilities, office and lower level Community Center along with seven rental apartments. Later the building was expanded and added five additional apartments, a sister’s prayer hall, larger Masjid and expanded Community Center.
