About the Teacher

Assalamualaikum! I’m Saara. I’m 10 years old, and I’m in 4th grade. I love to make my own quilts, pinatas, escape rooms, and spy gear. I started doing origami a few years ago, but since the pandemic started, I’ve worked on it almost every day. I really enjoy making all sorts of cute objects, like tiny backpacks, tiny notebooks, and baskets. I even made a Christmas tree with tiny gift boxes. Join me in a virtual origami class, where we will be making a Ramadan fasting tracker and baskets for you to share candy with your siblings during Ramadan!

Workshop Details

Workshop 1: Ramadan fasting tracker

Supplies: Scissors, pencil, ruler, glue stick, 1 poster board (your favorite color), 5-6 sheets of patterned paper (of your choice) OR of your favorite color

Workshop 2: Origami baskets/gift boxes (for Ramadan goody bags)

Time permitting, we will try to make some different styles
Supplies: Scissors, pencil, ruler, 1 letter-sized paper per basket (your favorite color and as many as you want to make)
