Message from the Principal

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu, and welcome to Deen Academy!

Our Sunday School program puts children on a life-long journey of learning about their deen. As with Madina Institute’s core education philosophy, instruction at Deen Academy is rooted firmly in the Quran and the authentic Sunnah.  Our goal is to enable our children to experience the Quran as a guide from which they can draw lessons that can help them with every-day situations, and for them to develop a deep love for our beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and thus emulate his character in every sense.

We have tailored our core subjects around this goal.  For the younger kids from Grades 3-8, we focus on three key areas: Quran recitation and memorization helps our children to start forming a connection with the Quran; Arabic, so that they can begin to understand the Quran in the original language it was revealed in; and Islamic Studies, so they can appreciate the history of Islam including lessons from the life of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, his companions and the Prophets before him.  For the older children in High School, in addition to Arabic, we also focus on Aqeedah and Fiqh so that our youth can have a more advanced and practical understanding of their faith.   Additionally, our High School teachers also serve as a great resource for our youth to discuss any age-appropriate questions or topics that they need help with.

All our instructors are seasoned professionals as well as graduates of Madina Institute’s 1-year Islamic Studies program that is taught by Shaykh Dr. Muhammad bin Yahya al-Ninowy and other respected Shuyukh.  They combine their in-depth knowledge of the deen with a strong desire to develop our children to be confident and knowledgeable young Muslims with the best of characters.

Jazakumu Allahu Khairan
